You can create albums, add photos to the albums, and be able to purchase the photos. I've had some interest in seeing the ability to sell art and/or art prints. So, yes it's more than just a gallery. Does it do what I think you're asking as pertaining to restricting gallery views to certain clients? No. Or rather, not yet. That's the fun part about all of this: discovering all of the potential functionality and trying to determine what's worth writing.
